Coming soon to iPhone and Android
MyTags
Save YouTube videos to watch later, organized by tags. Share a video from YouTube, pick a tag, and find it again when you have time to watch.
How it works
- 1
In the YouTube app, tap Share on any video or Short.
- 2
Choose MyTags from the share sheet.
- 3
Pick a tag, or a subtag inside it, and save. The video waits there until you have time.
What it does
Save from YouTube's Share menu
No copying and pasting links. You can still paste one by hand.
Tags and subtags
Color-coded tags like Recipes or Exercise, each with subtags like Breakfast or Cardio.
Search
Find any saved video by its title, tag or subtag.
Notes
Add a note to any saved video, like the step you want to come back to.
Watch in the app
Videos play inside MyTags. If one can't play there, a tap opens it in YouTube.
Stays on your phone
Your library is stored on your device. No account, no cloud.
Dark and light mode
Dark by default, with a light theme in Settings.
Free
Supported by one small banner ad. No subscription.
Why not YouTube's Watch Later?
Watch Later works fine until it holds a hundred videos. Then it's one long list.
YouTube Watch Later
- One long list for everything
- No way to group videos by topic
- No place for your own notes
MyTags
- Tags and subtags, so every video has its place
- Your own note on any video
- Search by title, tag or subtag
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up or sign-in. Open the app and start saving.
Where are my saved videos stored?
On your phone. MyTags has no servers and no cloud sync, so it never sends your library anywhere. Deleting the app, or tapping Reset all data in Settings, removes it. The privacy policy has the details.
Is MyTags free?
Yes. MyTags is free to download and use. It shows a small banner ad, which is what keeps it free. There's no subscription or in-app purchase.
Does it work with YouTube Shorts?
Yes. Share a Short the same way as any other video, and it's saved and tagged like the rest of your library.
When can I download it?
MyTags is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. This page will link to both stores on launch day.
MyTags is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google LLC. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
